How do I pause a test?

Pausing tests is useful if you wish to stop a test from showing temporarily and intend to run it again soon. It is also useful for when you wish to make changes to a test and don't want it to show to anyone until all changes are implemented.

There are 2 ways you can pause a test. The first and most simple way is to click on "Your Tests" on the left hand side of the control panel.

Then on this test overview page click on the green circle beside the test. This circle will then turn yellow and when that happens the test is paused.

The other way to pause a test is to go into the test details then click the configure button.

Then scroll to the very bottom of this page and click the pause test button.

When you pause a test visitors to the page will no longer see any of the test variations and will see it as if Zentester was not installed on it. Even if they had seen changed variations they will now see the original variations if they come back to the site.

The test may take up to 15 minutes to stop showing for visitors however stats and heatmaps will stop logging immediately.
